Lasting Powers of Attorney
Lasting Powers of Attorney have replaced Enduring Powers of Attorney as of October 2007, though any Enduring Powers of Attorney made before then are still valid.
Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs) can play an important part in making arrangements for one’s future financial affairs, health and welfare. As the name suggest, they are intended to be long-term, capable of lasting through periods of mental incapacity. (This is not the case with ordinary powers of attorney).
